Welcome to Module 12 – I’m talking about binge eating.
While practising Intuitive Eating (that is, making sure we eat what our bodies physically need) is a critical first step in overcoming the diet-binge cycle, you’ll learn in this module why physical allowance alone is not enough to heal your relationship with food permanently.
Binge-eating (aka “reactive/reactionary eating”) will continue as long as we stigmatize, villainize, or feel shame/guilt/fear around our eating choices—whatever they may be—making the elimination of diet-mentality a core requirement for eating “sanely.”
When you’ve mastered the principles in this core lecture – (which, to be fair, requires the support of the Body Image Modules), your entire “food problem” will ultimately evaporate.
